We recommend that both experienced and beginner dancers take the first workshop if you plan to take the second workshop. The material in the first workshop is essential Latin technique for both experienced and beginner dancers. The second workshop will build on the material taught in the first.

• A - 2:30 PM - 3:45 PM: Making the Basics Better: Latin Motion & Technique
  (all levels, no partner needed). This workshop will help you make your Latin dancing look Latin. It will help you to center yourself and to partner with balance and control. This is essential information for both experienced and beginner dancers. Whether you're new to Latin dance, or you have some lead and follow figures in your repertoire, this workshop will help you to incorporate the technique that makes these dances different from others. The principles will be illustrated with a variety of lead and follow figures.
• 3:45 - 4:00 PM: Brief Practice Time
• B - 4:00 PM - 5:15 PM: Better Basics with Progressive Motion and Reversal of Direction
  (all levels, no partner needed). Building upon the techniques of Workshop 1, this session will present specific figures and additional technique for both leaders and followers to help you more easily master more complicated figures in general.
• 5:15 - 5:30 PM: Brief Practice Time
• 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM. Dinner break
• 7:30 PM. Doors reopen with DJ music
  until introductory dance lesson begins.
• 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM: Introduction to Swing Dance with John and Sandra Tomeny
  Local dance instructors, John and Sandra Tomeny, will teach an introduction to swing dance for newcomers. This lesson is free with admission to the dance.
• 9:00 PM - Midnight: Swing Dance with DJ Spin Doctor and Diane White.
  Music will include a mix of swing, Salsa, rhythm & blues, Motown, 50's Rock n' Roll, Latin and ballroom.

Registration Fees & Policies: Register for both workshops and the evening dance, all-inclusive for $26.00, or select individual, 75-minute workshops. A partner is not required for the workshops or dance. Many single dancers attend. We attempt to balance the leader/follower ratio of the workshops.

Advance Discounts
Each workshop is $10.00 and the evening dance is $8.00 (including the complimentary swing dance lesson at 8:00 PM). Or you may register for both workshops and the dance for the advance discount rate of $26.00. Advance registration is not required, but the advance discount expires at midnight on Friday, March 3. All rates are per-person.
Standard rates apply after March 3: $12.00 per workshop + $8.00/Sat. dance.

Payment: We can accept checks and money orders only in US funds. Credit card payments may be made only in advance, online when you register. Payment instructions will be provided at the end of the online registration process.

Evening Dance: There will be a Salsa/Cha Cha/Swing dance on Saturday night. Tickets for Saturday's dance and lesson are $8.00 in advance or at the door, (or included in all-inclusive pass).
